Seven Papuan Arrested on Monday

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Papua Police arrested seven men on Monday days after series of incidents in Freeport mine site which killed one Australian workers and two indonesian security apparatus.
The arrests were made in Kwamki Baru in Timika, the capital of Mimika Regency where Freeport mine is located, two days after the arrival of two companies of additional police force from Jakarta on Friday. Tempo's source from the local police said the arrests were linked to the torching of a freeport bus. No official statement from Papua police.
Journalists were also unable to confirm the names of the arrested men. Police confiscated arrows and bows from houses in Kwamki Baru.
On Monday afternoon reports also circulating that the incidents in Freeport's mine were linked to a separatist leader from the Free Papua.
